Now, these things are representations for us. We might learn by seeing and putting the stories together what they actually mean. Without seeing the symbols, we might never know how the prophecies are made manifest to us. So, let's explore John a little bit according to da Vinci.
This drawing of John was a preparation for how da Vinci was going to paint him in the last supper. Many people believe that it is a woman, Mary Magdalene as Dan Brown did in his book, "the da Vinci Code." (Brown wasn't the first to claim that) I believe that there is a lot of significance to portraying John this way, more than that he was a woman, but that it was to represent him in a more significant manner that could be manifest to us when he came as the Desolating Abomination of Daniel's prophecy.
Daniel 11:31
And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.
and Jesus referred to this as well:Mark 13
14But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:
So, why is this significant? Because how would we know what to look for?
Deuteronomy 22:5
The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God.
So, a man shall not wear a woman's garment or it is abomination. John is set up in this manner so that we can see how it is manifest. That the Masons of France gave us an image to better understand these passages and when the time is. Jesus said it is 'understanding the time.' The mighty angel John, the Statue holding up his hand to heaven. Notice in the Statue of Washington his right hand is up and his left hand is holding a sword? The Statue of Liberty is also doing this, except for a sword, it is holding a tablet. Moses had on tablets the law, or the word. (the sword is probably masonic symbolism for the the law. Sword. Word.) Also, their left hands are in a similar position with the index finger separate and they are both wearing a cloth, as is Christ in the Last Supper.
When speaking to people about this, I refer to the Statue of Liberty as John. It is the representation of a man, the Beloved disciple. Notice in his left hand the index finger is by itself. John means "God is Gracious". Let's also look at another name similar to John which is spoken of importantly by Jesus in the gospels. Jonah. Jonah means "dove." Why is that significant? Because Jonah is very similar to John, and Christ compares him to the Son of Man.
Matthew 12:40
For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whael's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
I don't think this is a reference again to a day as we would count a week day. The heart of the earth is probably an esoteric reference to the center of the World Government, while three days probably means in the way described as before as a day not the same as a day of the week.
The Dove
Very significant. For, when Jesus was baptized by John:
Luke 3:22
And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.
What does the name Columbia mean? The Latin 'Columba' means 'dove.' So, we have on the east coast of the United States of America these two names together. Washington, and Columbia. (district of Columbia)
while on the west coast we have running through the State of Washington and some of it's border the Columbia River.

Washington and Columbia, the Dove. Jonah, the Dove. The son of man.
